Position Summary:
As the new Managing Web Producer for APS, you’ll support the organization by ensuring all content across APS websites is compelling, accurate, and up-to-date. You’ll work across the organization to create, maintain, and continually improve content on all APS website. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll lead the daily content production for APS websites, manage the editorial calendar, and ensure that content complies with web governance and style guide. You’re at home in the APS CMS, and you have a natural ability to understand the goals of both the organization and its users; you’re able to execute and assist in planning content strategies that bring the two together.


Is This You:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, or related field.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a content strategist or closely related position.
  • Experience working with WCAG and 508 compliances.
  • Experience working with nonprofits, scholarly publishing, and scientific content a plus.
  • Familiarity with common content management systems.
  • Experience with user-centered design principles.
  • Experience with common web analytics tools.
  • Basic knowledge of semantic HTML markup and structured content.
  • Experience working with modern web media and interactive formats.
  • Portfolio or ability to demonstrate contributions on past content strategy-related projects.
