Position Summary:

Supports APS association-related business activities including membership, meetings, fundraising, and programs. This position will work closely with other departments to analyze business requirements and ensure appropriate workflows and technical solutions are delivered to support them. This includes support for key financial activities such as invoicing, audit support, billing, and customer support. Responsible for managing a team of business analysts.


A Typical Week May Look Like This:
  • Maintains a detailed understanding of the software used by APS to serve the departments supported by the group to which the analyst is assigned and oversees the day-to-day operation of the software.
  • Works closely with business units to deliver solutions that meet business objectives and customer needs. Work with business units to document, develop, and improve processes and integrate technical solutions as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with security, financial, and data protection requirements. Support audit and incident response functions as needed.
  • Works with development teams and vendors to design and implement solid technical solutions.
  • Manages team of systems analysts and support staff. Provides mentoring, technical guidance, and continuous feedback.
  • Manages full project lifecycle including requirements analysis, resource management, support, training for end users, and hand off to operational groups
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure results match requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Works with vendors to implement patches and upgrades.

Is This You:

Education: B.S. in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or equivalent

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 8 years of experience in a system development environment
  • 8 years of experience in a non-profit association environment
  • 2 years of experience managing direct reports
  • Understanding of software development methodologies.
  • In-depth understanding of web-based software and API design.
  • Effective time management, communications and related skills
  • Strong organization, documentation, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to quickly changing schedules.
  • Ability to work well with interdepartmental teams as well as independently
